We started Oakmere Paws for a simple reason: we were tired of buying pet gear that fell apart. Flimsy beds, toys that lasted a day, bowls that tipped over. So we built the shop we wished existed, a small, careful catalog of durable, well-made things for dogs and cats, at prices that stay fair.
We're pet owners first
There's no big warehouse and no faceless brand here. We're a small team of dog and cat people who got fed up with cheap gear and empty promises, the kind of stuff that looks fine in a photo and disappoints the moment it arrives. Our pets share our homes and our sofas, so we hold the things we sell to the same standard we'd want for them.
That means we'd rather carry fewer products and stand behind every one of them than fill the store with anything that ships. If it wouldn't earn a spot in our own homes, it doesn't earn a spot here.
How we pick what to stock
Before anything goes on the shelf, we do the homework a shopper shouldn't have to. We read the real reviews, the good and the unflattering, and cross-reference them across sources so a rating actually means something. We look at how a product holds up over time, not just how it looks new.
